One of the ways to choose your keno numbers is to play clusters or lines.

In other words, clusters are patterns that form over time when a keno draw selects random numbers. 

These lines may seem to sometimes connect the winning numbers or even touch each other, creating an image of numbers appearing in lines or groups.

Using such clusters is a very popular way to play keno and there are many different ways to do it. Players usually have a favorite cluster or group of clusters that they choose when playing.

Remember that none of the clusters enhances your chances of winning – they remain constant at all times.

 We will mention the three most commonly used types of clusters in keno. To help you visualize each cluster, we will use RTG Keno in this example.

4 X 5 Corners

If you apply this cluster on a Keno Classic 5 Spot game, there is a chance to win $640 by matching all five numbers in a single round. The only catch is that you must bet $4 on one game to quadruple your chances of winning this prize.

 To incorporate this clustering technique successfully, select five numbers in a cluster in each corner of the grid. Keep in mind that in some situations, you won’t be allowed to bet more than 10 or 15 numbers, depending on the game version you’re playing.

The perfect example would be numbers 1, 2, 11, 12, and 21 in the top left corner. 

Follow the same pattern in the top right and mark 9, 10, 19, 20, and 30.

Top Half 6

This technique carries 4 chances to win $1,800 in a single round of keno. To make good use of it, you must opt for the Keno Classic 6 Spot variant. 

The trick is to match all six numbers in one round with four chances for only $4.

There is a theory that playing numbers in clusters that are close to each other can help you catch a pattern and even hit a jackpot. 

As if the algorithm sees the numbers you choose and makes the draw based on those picks.

That is not entirely true because the moment you hit that DRAW button, the algorithm takes over and randomly picks one out of 24,040,016 combinations provided you’re playing 5 numbers out of 80.
