How to submit a question?

To ask a question, find the “Ask a Question" button and click it. It will take you to the Add Question page.

Make sure to go through the Tips on how to ask a good question we’ve added at the top and then move to the form.

There are 3 steps you need to go through in order to submit a question:

Step 1: Fill in the question form

The question form has 3 elements:

• Question title - mandatory
• Question description
• Tags

Question title

• The title should be brief, and to the point, maximum of 100 characters accepted
• Make your title as specific as possible
• Avoid asking broad questions 
• The question should contain at least 10 characters
• The question title is mandatory

Question description

• If your question requires more details feel free to add them
• The better you describe your problem, the better the answers will be
• In the description, you can add text, images, lists and links, even emojis
• The description will help other users understand your problem so they can address it properly and give you a useful answer that will solve your problem
• The description is optional

Tags

For each question, you can add up to 3 tags. Make sure to only add the relevant tags. Incorrect use of tags will result in a bad user experience for other community members.

Tags are predefined, you just need to start typing the topic of your question and the relevant tags will be displayed. Select the tags you want and you’re all done with this step.

Please note: The tags are optional. 

After you’re done with all 3 elements, click on the “Review your question” button.

Step 2: Review your question

In this step you need to do 2 things:

• Check if your question is unique
• Review your question

Based on the question you filled in we provide you with a list of similar content: other questions related to your own and additional resources. 

If after checking the resources you decide that your question is unique and there is no answer available you can move to previewing your question.

Please note: Duplicate questions will NOT get published.

In the preview section, you’ll see how your question will be displayed on the website. Go over it again and make sure it’s correct and that it complies with our terms.

You can edit your question by clicking on the “Edit question” button.

If your question is a duplicate click on “Cancel”. Your question will not get saved.

Step 3: Submit the question

If you checked your question and everything seems to be fine then you’re good to go. Click on the “Submit question button”.

The question will go to our Pending list and it will soon get reviewed by our Quality Assurance Team. 

Your question will get published on the site once it is approved. You will get notified when this happens.
